Visit to Azmar Aviation Training Center

On December 24th, 2023, a team from the Aviation Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering at Tishk International University (TIU) visited the Azmar Aviation Training Center, near Sulaimani Airport. It was a challenging journey with rain and very thick fog. The team included Dr. Soorkeu, Mr. Ahmed Ameer, and Mr. Ahmed Abdulkareem, who met at the centre with Mr. Faris Al Jawari and his crew and discussed means of enhancing the student experience in terms of lab facilities, internships, and summer training. The visit lasted a few hours and included a discussion about the curriculum, meeting the instructors of the centre, and visiting their laboratories and workshops. In the end, new goals were set for cooperation and mutual benefit. Additionally, the team extended the invitation for Mr Faris and his crew to visit the university and continue the dialogue on practical ways of working together.
