Visit Your Future – High School Visit Day
It was a privilege to host 12th-grade students from the local public and private schools across the city from the 18th to the 22nd of February, 2024. During this event, staff from the Aviation Engineering Department, including the Head of the Department, two academic staff, and two enthusiastic volunteer second-year undergraduate students, participated together to discuss with the visiting high school students the process of applying to the Aviation Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering at Tishk International University (TIU), potential future exchange programs with global universities, internship, and career prospects post-graduation.
Additionally, students received a comprehensive introduction to the wind tunnel laboratory. Our experienced instructor and volunteers showed the students the parts of the wind tunnel, explained its functionality, and highlighted the importance of using it to learn more about aeroplanes and how things move through the air and test ideas for making aircraft better and safer.
