A Visit to the Makers’ Hub
On January 9th, 2024, the Aviation Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering at Tishk International University (TIU), participated in the new opening session of the Makers’ Hub in Erbil. It is a technology-based support group sponsored and funded by GIZ. They are working to help students and young engineers shape their skills and improve their abilities before entering the job market. Mr Mohammed Alsada, Founder, and his team took us through their history and introduced their modern workshop before treating the audience to a talk and a reception. The Aviation Engineering Department extended the invitation to Mr Mohammed and the attending GIZ team to visit the university to continue the dialogue and discuss the means for involving the students in activities and supporting them in their projects.
