The Tishk International University Aviation Engineering Department at the Faculty of Engineering successfully organized the 1st International Workshop on “Safety and Security in Sustainable Aviation” on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at 13:00 hrs in Room 124, Ground Floor, TIU Main Building. The international workshop was conducted in collaboration with a young and dynamic PhD research team from Cranfield University, one of the world’s leading institutions in aviation and aerospace studies. The event focused on the latest advancements in digital travel credentials technology, sustainable aviation safety, aviation security systems, human factors engineering, and situation awareness in aviation operations. The workshop aimed to strengthen academic engagement between international researchers and Aviation Engineering students while promoting awareness of emerging technologies and safety challenges in the aviation sector. The session saw active participation from students and academic staff and was successfully delivered via Microsoft Teams, reflecting the department’s commitment to international collaboration, digital learning, and innovation in aviation education.
