The Aviation Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering at Tishk International University, organized a scientific field trip for its students on November 27, 2025, under the instruction of Mr. Ahmed Ameer Arsalan. The visit took place at the Weather Station within the Shaqlawa Agricultural Directorate, where students had the opportunity to explore the station’s operational systems and instrumentation. Throughout the visit, the station’s director provided comprehensive explanations on key meteorological devices, including thermometers, anemometers, and a photoperiod meter capable of recording daily sunshine duration. Students observed firsthand how these instruments collect, store, and process essential atmospheric data. This academic activity offered valuable practical experience, enhancing students’ understanding of meteorological measurements and the procedures involved in extracting and documenting weather information.
