On the 6th of April, Mrs. Sarah Raad Saeed and Mrs. Dunya Dilshad prepared a workshop for the first year students to clarify some misconceptions about the isometric and oblique drawings that have been misinterpreted by the students within the graphic design studio. The students gathered in lecture hall 329 at 12:30 as they were directed to start the extra hour lecture. On Thursday, April the 6th, at 14:00 in lecture hall 202, the Local Area Development Program representatives from the UNDP have held a seminar to introduce the students to the Innovation Competition on Sustainable Energy 2017. The seminar was presented by Mr. Osama Kassamani, and mostly talked about climate change challenges and what people could do for the community if they used energy efficiently and thought sustainably. The Head of Architecture department, Mr. Soma A. Kareem, and the Head of Civil Engineering Department, Mr. Barham Haidar Ali, along with academics and many students of the engineering faculty attended the seminar. [...]

On Sunday, April the 2nd, the Architectural Department at Tishk International University prepared a field trip to Shanik Glass Factory on Makhmoor Road, for the second year students, the trip was supervised by the Head of the department Ms. Soma A. Kareem.    Mr. Azad Ahmad organized the trip with Mr. Nawaz Dabbagh.  The students and academics arrived to the factory site at 12:00, the field trip was aiming to teach students the procedures of manufacturing glass and building glass façades.   The time the students arrived to the factory, the owners welcomed the group and introduced themselves, and they started explaining the process of glass making as they walked us through the [...]

The workshop that was hosted by the Architecture Department in Tishk International University, took place in the auditorium of the dentistry college, on Wednesday, 1st of march 2017, at 13:30.   Khasraw Jaff was welcomed by the university's Head of Board of Trustees, Dr. Idrees Hadi, the Vice President, Dr. Mehmet Ozdemir, the dean of engineering college, Dr. Halit Vural, and the head of architecture department, Mrs. Soma A. Tishk International University and Erbil Polytechnic University hosted the 3rd International Engineering Conference on Development in Civil & Computer Engineering Applications on February 26 and 27, 2017. The aim of the conference was to disseminate research findings and provide a platform for scholars to debate and exchange ideas on the developments in the field of engineering. The conference proceedings will be indexed by Google Scholar Databases and each paper will have DOI number. Furthermore, the conference provides our graduate students a chance to establish communication with experienced researchers in order to discuss their current work as well as to be engaged in future research topics, [...]

  Architecture Engineering and Interior Design Departments organized an Art Exhibition of Tishk International Students on 21st December, 2016. Dr. Edris Hadi Head of Board of Trustees, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Oztas President of Tishk International University, Miss Soma A. Kareem Head of Architecture Engineering Department and Mr. Haval Sami Head of Interior Design Department opened the Exhibition.
