A welcoming ceremony was held by the Department of Surveying and Geomatics Engineering\/<\/a>Faculty of Engineering \u2013 TIU, for our newcomers, on December 13th, 2020, in Hall 244 in the Main Building.<\/p>\n

First, Mr. Muhamad Qader Ali<\/a> (Lecturer) discussed the University’s principles and procedures, in order to familiarize the students with the institutional system, department regulations, student handbook, department website<\/a>, lecture notes<\/a>, and the Student Information System (SIS)<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A tour, led by Mr. Muhamad was conducted for the students to show them the University’s buildings, and for them to know the location of the classrooms, and assistances, lecturers, and head of department offices.<\/p>\n

Mr. Shamal Fatah<\/a> (Lecturer) explained the mission and vision of the department to the students and introduced the courses (theory and practical) that will be taught throughout the year. He also described the system of examination evaluation during their study at the department.<\/p>\n

Finally, Mr. Qubad Zeki Henari<\/a>, Head of Department, presented a welcome speech to the new students and encouraged them to study and to follow the regulations set by the University. Also, Mr. Qubad discussed the career options that the department opens and the role and importance of Surveying and Geomatics Engineering in the development of the region.<\/p>\n
