The university organizes an official orientation program for all new students, carried out by each department individually.
During the orientation program the following activities were presented to let the students be familiar with the university environment and its regulations:
- Welcoming speech, the mission of the department, future job opportunities, courses taught, and more presented by the head of the department.
- Department research assistants (Mr. Mohammed Qader, and Mr. Shamal Muhammed), led the remaining activities in the orientation program including the followings:
- Playing an advertising video of Tishk International University.
- The brief history of Tishk International University.
- Handing the students CD of Student’s Hand Book, which contains all regulations of the university.
- An outline of the 2018/2019 Academic Calendar, Curriculum Credits, Foundation English, Course Registration Regulation, and Academic Advising Process.
- Brief introductions and explanation were made by our research assistants SIS (Students Information System) System, Syllabus, Lecture Notes, Webpage of Tishk International University, calculation of GPA (Grade Point Average).
- Students visited classrooms, laboratories, the clink of (Dentistry Department), Drawing Halls, and Computer Labs.
- Students informed about services of the Tishk International University as Student Affair, Library, IT service, Accounting, Dining and Cafeteria, and Sports Facilities.
- Brief introduction presented by Dean of Students including Clubs, Student Council, Activities, and Career Center.
