On June 2, 2026, the Petroleum and Mining Engineering Department<\/a> at Tishk International University organized an educational field trip<\/b> for fourth-grade students. The group visited the North Gas Company (NGC) located in Kirkuk City. Department lecturers Mr. Nabaz Ali and Mr. Omar Azad formally arranged and supervised this important academic journey.<\/p>\n

Upon arrival, the management team at North Gas Company warmly welcomed the university delegation. The students immediately toured the extensive gas production facilities to see real-world engineering in action. During this educational field trip<\/b>, they observed the complex industrial processes firsthand. Consequently, the participants gained a clear understanding of how an active energy plant operates on a daily basis.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, several experienced professionals from the host company expertly guided the university students. Engineer Gailan Salahaldeen Omar and Engineer Mohaimen Mohammed Younis from the Gas Production Department shared their vast technical expertise. In addition, Engineer Nihad Jamal, Head of the Training and Development Department, played a vital role in making this visit a highly successful learning opportunity. Their valuable guidance significantly enriched the overall student experience.<\/p>\n

Following the outdoor facility tour, the hosts conducted an engaging indoor discussion session. The students asked technical questions and received highly practical answers directly from the industry experts. As a result, the attendees took immense benefit from the interaction and thoroughly enjoyed the authentic industrial environment. They experienced exactly what industrial life looks and sounds like in the field.<\/p>\n

Finally, this educational field trip<\/b> represents a core part of the department\u2019s strategic plan to familiarize students with the professional engineering sector. By bridging the gap between classroom theory and practical application, the university ensures graduates are ready for the workforce. This activity directly supports SDG 4 (Quality Education)<\/a> and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure) by promoting hands-on learning and fostering strong partnerships with the industrial energy sector.<\/p>\n<\/div>
