The event was attended by <\/span><strong><span class=\"selected\">Dr. Sultan Abu-Orabi<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"selected\">, President of TIU; <\/span><strong><span class=\"selected\">Dr. Jwan Jalal<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"selected\">, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering; <\/span><strong><span class=\"selected\">Dr. Fadhil Ali<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"selected\">, Head of the Petroleum and Mining Engineering Department; and the staff members of the department.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong><span class=\"selected\">A Warm Welcome and Comprehensive Introduction<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span class=\"selected\">The program began with a welcoming speech from <\/span><strong><span class=\"selected\">Dr. Fadhil Ali<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"selected\">, who expressed the department&#8217;s commitment to supporting the students&#8217; academic and personal growth. <\/span><strong><span class=\"selected\">Dr. Sultan Abu-Orabi<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"selected\"> then addressed the students, highlighting the university\u2019s vision and dedication to academic excellence. <\/span><strong><span class=\"selected\">Dr. Jwan Jalal<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"selected\"> followed with remarks emphasizing the faculty&#8217;s support for fostering innovation and professional skills.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"selected\">After the speeches, <\/span><strong><span class=\"selected\">Mr. Omar Azad<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"selected\">, a department staff member, delivered a detailed presentation on essential university policies and regulations. He also introduced the department\u2019s curriculum, IT services like the <\/span><strong><span class=\"selected\">SIS student information system<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"selected\">, and the various non-curricular activities offered through the Dean of Students, such as sports and music clubs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"selected\">The event concluded with a casual gathering where students enjoyed refreshments and a guided tour of the university&#8217;s facilities and departmental laboratories. This initiative, organized in collaboration with the Dean of Students and the Marketing Department, aimed to ease the students&#8217; transition into university life and foster a sense of belonging
