The Faculty of Engineering organized a general meeting for all full-time members of the faculty, under the theme of “Fresh Start for Spring Semester of the Academic 2019-2020”, which was presented by Dr. Halit Vural, Dean of Faculty of Engineering.
The assembly was held on February 3rd, 2020, in the main building, Room 302, at 3:00 PM, and all head of engineering departments, alongside full-time lecturers and assistants attended. The meeting started by evaluating the success of Tishk International University in Webometrics, achieved in January 2020.
The meeting started with Dr. Khaledﹸs speech regarding University’s world rank, and its position according to Iraq & KRG (data shown below):
1.World Ranking List – (5234th place)
2.In Iraq – (16th place)
3. Among all KRG Universities – (3rd place)
4. Among all KRG Private Universities – (1st place)
The staff further discussed about the quality of education at TIU and reviewed methods regarding the improvement and development of the University’s web content. Later during the meeting, the Dean invited the best assistants from each department to the stage, and finally ended the assembly by cutting cake and hoping for a joyful start of the new Spring Semester.
