As a part of the continuous development, Engineering faculty, Tishk International International University (TIU)– Erbil is currently in the Preparation Phase to collaborate with Field Ready Organization (Pioneering the Future of Aid) for students’ better learning especially in the two departments, Computer Engineering and Mechatronics Engineering.

In this regard, on Thursday, September 19, 2019, a delegation from Field Ready (Pioneering the Future of Aid) represented by Mrs. Wafa Al- Attas (Innovation Lead – Iraq) and her partner visited Engineering faculty and held a meeting with Dr. Khaled Wooral (the Dean of Engineering Faculty, TIU), Assist prof. Sivakumar N. A. (a lecturer in the Department of Mechatronics Engineering, TIU) and Ms. Farah Maysan (Research Assistant, Engineering Faculty, TIU).

 The meeting started with a presentation about Field Ready Roles in building the damaged societies and how they visit those fields to solve the past wars problems. In the presentation, Field Ready presented their work place that was established in Erbil City and discussed about the offers that can benefit Engineering Faculty’s students in TIU.

During the meeting some points were discussed by Dr. Khaled Wooral related to the procedure of collaboration with Field Ready organization and the first point for Joint activities were well clarified such as establishing a work place for the students in TIU or held workshops inside the campus. Also, Field Ready organization is looking forward to sign an MOU with the university.

Field Ready: is an organization that meets humanitarian and reconstruction aid needs by transforming logistics through technology, design and engaging people in new ways. We make useful items where they are needed to solve problems locally. We pass on these skills to others through training and capacity-building. We are pioneering innovative approaches to the toughest challenges regardless of the sector.
