Scientific Trip For 2nd Stage Students<\/h4>\n

On February 7th, 2024, the Interior Design Department. Faculty of Engineering<\/a>\u00a0at\u00a0Tishk International University<\/a> (TIU) organized a scientific trip for second-year students to Majdi Kindergarten as part of their Interior Design Studio Course. The trip was supervised by faculty members Ms. Sana Basil, and Research Assistant Aisha Asaad.<\/p>\n

The primary objective of the trip was to provide students with a hands-on learning experience by observing the kindergarten\u2019s main zones, including the classes, playing area, reception, and other related areas. The tour emphasized the furniture distribution, dimensions based on children\u2019s sizes, spacing, colour pallets, accessories, and other design details that enhance the learning and playing environment for children.<\/p>\n

The management team at Majdi Kindergarten warmly welcomed the staff and students and arranged a comprehensive tour of two buildings with different areas. Throughout the tour, the lecturers explained the main design points, dimensions, positive and negative aspects of the design to the students.<\/p>\n

During the scientific trip, students were required to take photos and gather information to prepare a detailed report. The students were also taught how to take as-built measurements and understand the difference in design depending on the users\u2019 needs. Finally, students were asked to make conclusions about what they learned through the trip based on their observations and the teachers\u2019 explanations.<\/p>\n
