Scientific Trip for 3rd Stage Students
On February 16th, 2023, the Interior Design Department, Faculty of Engineering at Tishk International University organized a scientific trip for third-year students to Saad Abdullah Hall, as part of their Interior Design Studio Course. The trip was conducted under the guidance of Mr. Omar A. Khalaf and Mr. Hawbir Omar, accompanied by Research Assistants Sawen Ahmad and Snoor Abbas.
The objective of the trip was to focus on the key zones of the theater area, including the auditorium, backstage, reception, and foyer, and to study the furniture distribution, dimensions according to the theater requirements, spacing, color palettes, accessories, and other design details.
The site managers welcomed the staff and students and arranged a tour around the halls and other zones. The lecturers explained the main design points and dimensions, as well as the positive and negative aspects of the design.
During the trip, students were instructed to take photographs and gather information to prepare a detailed report. They learned how to take as-built measurements and understand the differences in design depending on the users.
