About the program:<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Huawei’s \u201cSeeds for the Future<\/strong><\/a>\u201d program falls within the framework of corporate social responsibility and embodies the efforts made by the company in partnership with a number of governmental, private and public academic institutions in countries of the region to contribute to enhancing the role of technical talent in building the digital economy and developing the ecosystem around the world.\u00a0In light of the growing focus on innovation and technological advancement, this competition provides young minds with a distinctive platform to exchange ideas and communicate with their peers around the world, and gain valuable insights into the ICT sector to shape their future and stimulate their participation in the digital society.\u00a0Since its launch in 2008, more than 15,000 students from 139 countries around the world have participated in the program, with the support of more than 450 senior officials and country leaders.<\/p>\n

The Tech4Good<\/strong><\/a> regional competition, now in its third year, will be held during the \u201cSeeds for the Future\u201d program with the aim of empowering young people and stimulating their participation in making a positive impact in their communities and contributing to the social and economic development of their country.\u00a0This year’s edition of the program will host intensive training sessions and workshops over 8 days on the latest communications and information technologies, scientific and technological leadership concepts, as well as dialogues on global topics and Tech4Good competition groups.\u00a0Participants will have access to deeper education and training on the latest technologies, such as 5G, artificial intelligence, and cloud computing, and enhance their skills to achieve future growth and improve their competitive advantages in the labour market through joint learning and exchange. Students will also have the opportunity to visit the exhibition hall at Huawei’s headquarters in Qatar, the offices of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Education City, and Lusail Stadium, as well as take a tour of Doha.<\/p>\n

Timeline of the visit that lasted from September 2nd to September 9th:<\/strong><\/h4>\n

September 2nd and 3rd:\u00a0 arrival+ welcome ceremony\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Under the auspices of the Communications Regulatory Authority of Qatar, Huawei launched the \u201cSeeds for the Future 2023\u201d program during an official opening ceremony held at the Qatar National Convention Center in Doha. This regional event – which brings together 175 students from elite Middle Eastern and Central Asian universities for the first time in Qatar – aims to develop local talent, exchange knowledge, increase the level of awareness of the communications and information technology sector, and build a thriving digital community for young talents in the field of communications and information technology, while Ten students from Iraq, representing a number of universities,\u00a0participated<\/p>\n

10 students from Iraq participated in this year\u2019s session of the \u201cSeeds for the Future\u201d program, representing the University of Kufa, the University of Karbala, Erbil Technical University, Saladin University – Erbil, Koya University, Anbar University, Technological University – Iraq, Sulaymaniyah Technical University, Garmian University and Tishk International University.<\/a><\/p>\n

An elite group of senior officials and sector leaders delivered keynote speeches at the opening ceremony.\u00a0Among them is Reem Abdul Aziz Al-Muqbel, Acting Deputy Governor for Planning and Business Development at the General Corporation for Technical and Vocational Training in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.\u00a0Omar Abdulaziz Al-Naama, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education for Special Education Affairs in Qatar;\u00a0Jawad Abbasi, Director of the Mobile Operators Association (GSMA) in the Middle East and North Africa region;\u00a0Dr. Jassim Haji, Chairman of the Global Artificial Intelligence Group.\u00a0The opening ceremony was also attended by Krimjonov Rustam, Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan;\u00a0Kamil Akatov, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan.<\/p>\n<\/div>
