The department of computer engineering have participated in Erbil\u2019s 1st<\/sup> Technology exhibition (HITEX)<\/strong> which was held over the period of 3 days from 15 to 17 of April, 2019<\/strong> in Saad Abdullah Hall<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

HITEX is the 1st technology exhibition in Erbil. The exhibition set ground for a powerful platform for business growth, which combined all the local and international technology companies in all sectors. It also helped to create a better understanding of technology applications in real life by presenting the latest worldwide technologies of the biggest Brands in the world.<\/p>\n

Tishk International University\u2019s<\/strong> booth witnessed the participation of Computer Engineering department during the opening day, set on April 15th<\/sup>. The department, represented by Ms. Israa Nazhat, research assistant, highlighted the department\u2019s mission and vision and gave an overview on the courses taught, how it aligns with and adopts the current technological advancement as well as showcasing the students\u2019 projects on Arduino board and VEX Robotics to the public to stress on the importance of Robotics and Programming, not only as courses taught in the department\u2019s regularly updated curriculum but also in everyday life and how these simple, yet beneficial projects can be turned into an actual solution that can be implemented in making the society\u2019s life easier in multiple different aspects.<\/p>\n

The department\u2019s booth attracted visitors\u2019 attention, where tech enthusiast showed their interest in the courses and the department and applauded the department\u2019s vision in focusing on hands-on experiments that gives the students the skills necessary to meet the market and tech industry needs.<\/p>\n
