The department of Computer Engineering have signed an agreement with the Wind River University Program which is aimed at providing the faculty and students to use state-of-the-art operating systems platforms, middleware, and development tools to enrich their research efforts and teaching courses to foster advances in embedded technologies and the Internet of Things (IoT).

The agreement, which was made effective from 11th of November, 2019 and have been renewed last year, included a yearly subscription and 200 activation licenses of four different products off the SIMICS simulator (50 each) mainly used for courses such Computer and Wireless Networks, Computer Security and Introduction to Microprocessors courses.
