Marshmallow Competition 2022<\/h4>\n

We enjoy competition. We enjoy challenges. If a challenge is in front of us and it appeals to us, we go ahead and conquer it.<\/em> This is the slogan of the Civil Engineering Department at Tishk International University<\/a>. In order to foster a competitive and active learning environment that integrates theoretical concepts with practical applications, the Department organized a Marshmallow Competition on December 20th, 2022. The competition was open to 2nd and 3rd year students, and a total of 32 participants from both grades took part. The students were tasked with building structures using spaghetti, which were then subjected to a load test using marshmallows to assess their stability.<\/p>\n

To encourage teamwork and collaboration, the students were divided into groups of four, and were supervised by a team of lecturers, professors, research assistants and the Head of the Department. The competition was a great success, and the top three groups were recognized for their outstanding performance. Such competitions play a crucial role in developing problem-solving skills, promoting teamwork and enhancing critical thinking abilities amongst students.<\/p>\n

      1. Group Lion: Omar, Abdul Hadi, Ahmad Farhan, Yousif and Lawand<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Appreciation gifts were presented to the winning groups by the Head of the Department and lecturers as a token of love and appreciation at the end of competition.<\/p>\n
