The TIU student chapter of ACI (American Concrete Institute) organized FRC Bowling Ball Competition in cooperation with ACI University of Salahadin Student Chapter and \u00a0ACI Iraq Chapter, this event was hold on March 08, 2021 at Tishk International University Erbil Campus.<\/p>\n

Ten teams of civil engineering students participated in the event. All the teams were come from Erbil Polytechnics University, Raparin University, Salahaddin University and Tishk International University. Each team participated with two concrete balls made of fiber lightweight concrete with different mix designs.<\/p>\n

A team of Juries were monitoring all the process, two tests were applied to the samples, one for each ball. The tests were as follows; compression test, in this test the balls were compressed till cracks were occurred in the sample. And the dropping tests, in this test the balls were dropped from the height of two meters.<\/p>\n

The students were having fun between the tests, bowling game were held. The winners was determined based on the tests, and juries announced the winners.<\/p>\n
