Civil Engineering<\/a> Department under the supervision of Barham Haidar the instructor of CE 219 with the assistance of Mohamad Qadir and Rabar Hama Fariq organized a field trip for second grade students to IBERIA<\/span> batch plant. We are welcomed very warmly by the administrative and technical staff of the batch plant. Instructor Barham explained how mix design is held in batch plant practically. It was shown that how constituents\u2019 materials of concrete are stored and samples are taken from the stock piles to investigate the characteristics such as specific gravity, bulk density, sieve analysis, moisture content and absorption. \u00a0The Engineer Barzan the administrator director of the batch plant and Engineer Mustafa were our students and they welcomed us very warmly.
