Civil Engineering Department in Tishk International University (TIU) started the first Joint Master Program in collaboration with Erbil Politechnic University (EPU) in April ,2018. On July 2nd, 2020 , the master defense session of the Joint Program was held in the presence of Dr.Mehmet Ozdemir, Vice President, Dr. Halit Vural the Dean of Engineering Faculty -TIU , Prof. Dr. Hamed Jassim, the chief of Postgraduate Studies office-TIU , Assist.Prof. Dr. Ganjeena Khoshnaw, the chief of Postgraduate Studies office-EPU.<\/p>\n

Salih Miqdad who was one of the master candidates in the field of structure engineering-Civil Engineering Joint program, presented his thesis to the examination committee under the title of ( STUDY OF FUNCTIONALITY GRADED MATERIALS FOR PILE FOUNDATION IN A LAYERED CONTINUMM ).<\/p>\n

The master examination committee members were :
\n1- Asst. Professor Azad Zaki Sabir Agha ,PhD., EPU, Chairman.
\n2- Asst. Professor Sinan Abdulxaliq Yasin , PhD., Salahaddin University, Member.
\n3-\u00a0Asst. Professor Rahel Khalil Ibrahim, PhD., Koya University, \u00a0Member.
\n4- Asst. Professor Saad Khalis Essa, PhD., EPU, Member and thesis supervisor.<\/p>\n

The examination committee accepted the thesis successfully with recommending some minor corrections to be done within one month and congratulated the student for his great effort and high performance in the presentation and through the two years of his study.
\nStrict precautions and health regulations including wearing masks and applying social distancing rules for protection against the COVID-19 pandemic were followed during the defense session.<\/p>\n
