Tishk International University in Cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research organized a Certificate Awarding Ceremony and a Joint Workshop on May 17th, 2017, under the theme of \u201cFeatures & Prospects of International Accreditation in Higher Education\u201d. The workshop brought together the university presidents, the experts and academicians from various parts of the region to exchange knowledge and ideas regarding Academic Quality and Academic Accreditation in particular. Also, through this workshop, the experience of International Accreditation at Tishk International University was imparted to other universities and higher education institutions within KRG.<\/p>\n
The workshop started with a protocol speech by Dr. Idris Hadi Salih Head of Board of Trustees, then with an inaugural Speech by Dr. Noori Harzani General Manager and Representative of the Ministry of Higher Education and Academic Research. He gave in his speech valuable information about the importance of accreditation. After that, Dr. Noori presented the International Accreditation Certificate to Dr. Idris. This was followed by awarding Appreciation Certificates to the Accreditation Committee Members and the Academic Staff of Civil Engineering Department.<\/p>\n
In the second session, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Oztas talked about \u201cThe Quality Journey at Tishk International University\u201d emphasizing the pathways from the beginning as well as the bilateral relationship with accreditation committee. The progam was followed by a presentation given by Ms. Rasha AlKabbanie the Coordinator of Accreditation Affairs and QMS about the Practical Steps in the Accreditation Procedure. Mr. Barham Haidar, as well, Head of Civil Engineering Department presented the Appraisals and Recommendations provided by the Experts in the Evaluation Report. The Session was concluded by Dr. Idris\u2019s presentation as to Concepts and Criteria of Academic Accreditation.<\/p>\n
At the end, the presenter Dr. Karzan Mohammad thanked the attendees and invited them to join the lunch.<\/p>\n
This event was held upon the International Accreditation Certificate Awarded to Civil Engineering Department BA program by ZEvA\u2019s Commission for International Affairs without any conditions and for a period of five years.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
