On Sunday, 24 May 2026, students from the Department of Architecture at Tishk International University successfully carried out a community service project titled “Putting Smiles on Nazdaran” as part of the Interpersonal Dynamics and Character Building (IDCB) course.<\/p>\n

Held at New City and Ice Day, the initiative aimed to bring happiness to orphaned children by providing them with the opportunity to choose new clothes of their own preference in preparation for Eid Al-Adha, followed by a fun-filled day at the playground. The project sought not only to meet the children’s immediate needs but also to raise awareness about the challenges faced by children who have lost their fathers, while promoting compassion and social responsibility within the community.<\/p>\n

Throughout the event, Architecture students worked together to organize activities, assist the children, and ensure the smooth implementation of the program. Their dedication, teamwork, and empathy reflected the core values of the IDCB course and demonstrated the importance of community engagement through meaningful action.<\/p>\n

The project contributed to several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including SDG 1: No Poverty, SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities, SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals. By participating in this initiative, students strengthened essential skills such as leadership, communication, teamwork, and civic responsibility while applying classroom knowledge to a real-world setting. The experience highlighted how collective effort and acts of kindness can make a meaningful and lasting difference in the lives of others.<\/p>\n
